6.5" H x 9.25" W and About 4.5 Pounds Heavy w/ PB-Eighty Four Sticker on Bottom - Antique. This is an antique pottery piece and has some minor paint wear, mostly the gold gilt.

Also, there is some fine line crazing. Otherwise, it is in excellent condition. Please see photos for information on condition. This is a gorgeous Japanese Satsuma pottery bowl of globular form resting on a short footrim and rising to a broad mouth. It is hand decorated with heavy raised overglaze enamels and gilding adding beautiful, attention grabbing texture.

The human eye can detect texture, so when an artist makes use of it, it just adds so much more appeal! It features a continuous scene of boys and Buddhist acolytes in a formal landscape.

Overall, again, it is gorgeous and would add significant beauty to any Satsuma collection. The company was founded by a group of employees of the American Art Association.
