Beautiful Meiji Japanese Satsuma Kinkozan Moon Flask Vase

An absolutely beautiful Japanese Satsuma moon shaped sake flask or vase, circa late 19th century. It has the Shimazu crest and signature and the work is so detailed that I'm quite certain it came from the Kinkozan factory. One side of the flask has Japanese warriors and the other has court ladies, both in landscape settings. The painting is heavy with gilt moriage details on the borders of the center panels and also on the side panels, spout, and base. It measures 5 inches H (12.8 cm) x 3 1/2 inches W (9 cm).

It is in very good condition with minor wear to the gilding and some scratching on the base.
